Structure fire at 266 Abbott Avenue

At 1731 hrs, a full assignment was dispatched to 266 Abbott Avenue for a possible structure fire.

Responding units found a heavy smoke condition, with fire on the second floor of the two story private dwelling.

Hose lines were quickly stretched and placed into operation, knocking the fire down, followed by extensive overhaul.

Con Edison Gas/Electric, County Cause & Origin, Greenburgh Building Dept requested to the scene.

Assisting at the scene were Fairview FD E175, Hartsdale FD E171, Valhalla FD R9 (Fast), Hawthorne FD L56, Millwood FD R36 (Cascade).  Elmsford EMS and Greenburgh PD-EMS.

Relocating for station coverage were Tarrytown FD E80 and Irvington FD L36.
