Members of the department participated in a Water Rescue Drill with the Irvington FD Water Rescue Team at the Irvington Reservoir.Much was accomplished during the drill.Our thanks to Irvington FD for their hospitality.

Congratulations to the members of Tower Ladder 21 for winning the best appearing Combination Apparatus trophy in the Mamaroneck Fire Department Annual Parade on July 1st.Congratulations, also, to the members of our band: The Pipes and Drums of the Police Emerald Society of Westchester for winning the best appearing Bagpipe Band trophy.See photos.

Engine 137 and Ambulance 58B-1 were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries involving a rollover with possible entrapment.Responding units found no entrapment and only minor injuries. One patient was transported to Westchester Medical Center by 58B-1 while the Engine Company personnel secured the scene.

Engine 137 and Ambulance 58B-1 were dispatched to the report of a motor vehicle accident with possible injuries at Mt. Carmel School, 59 East Main St.Responding units found no injuries and only moderate damage.See photos.

A full assignment was dispatched to La Quinta Inn, 540 Saw Mill River Road for a reported brush fire.Responding units found a small brush fire which was quickly extinguished with one Class A foam line from E-237.See photos.

Engine 137, Ladder 55 and Ambulance 58B-1 were dispatched to a serious motorcycle/vehicle accident, involving a fire, on the Sprain Brook Pkwy southbound, south of Grasslands Road.Fairview FD Rescue 3 and Engine 174 were also dispatched.Responding units extinguished the fire which involved the two motorcycles in the collision.Two patients were transported to Westchester Medical Center by Greenburgh PD EMS Ambulance 76 and Ambulance 58B-1.A third patient was pronounced dead on the scene.New York State Police on the scene with the investigation.Our thanks to Fairview FD and Greenburgh PD EMS for their assistance.

Engine 137 and Ambulance 58B-1 were dispatched to a serious MVA with injuries on the Sprain Brook Pkwy, northbound, north of Route 287.Responding units found two seriously injured patients, prompting the Incident Commander to request Ambulance 58B-2 to the scene as well.Both patients were transported to Westchester Medical Center by 58B-1 and 58B-2.

A full assignment was dispatched to a reported dumpster fire at the Landmark Complex, Old Saw Mill River Road, on a dual response with Hawthorne Fire Dept.Units found a working dumpster fire and quickly extinguished it with one Class A foam line.

A full assignment was dispatched to 6 Bayberry Road for the report of a gas main being ruptured by a contractor.Responding units confirmed a ruptured gas main and requested Con Ed Gas on an expedited response.The immediate area was evacuated, while the engine company stretched and charged a hoseline to dissipate the gas fumes.Con Ed Gas responded promptly and shut down the leak.Irvington FD L-36 and Fairview FD E-174 relocated to our quarters during the incident.Our thanks to all for their assistance.
