A full Department response was requested by 60-Control for a multi-vehicle accident with injuries on the ramp (in the rear of the Eldorado Diner) from Route 87 to Route 119 and the Saw Mill River Parkway northbound.
Ardsley FD and Irvington FD were already on the scene, as they were in the area looking for other dispatched MVAs on Route 87 and the Saw Mill River Parkway.
Car 2112, E-137, E-237, L-55, U-86, 58B-1 and 58B-2 all responded.
A total of four patients were transported by Elmsford Fire Dept Ambulances to WMC for treatment of minor injuries.
The roadway, which was extremely icy and slippery, was eventually sanded and cleared of damaged vehicles, finally being opened to traffic after being blocked for a significant amount of time.
