First Route 87 dual response with Tarrytown Fire Dept.

Monday, November 23, 2009 15:08 - Engine 137, Ladder 55 and Car 2111 were dispatched with Tarrytown Fire Department for a reported truck fire on Route 87 northbound near Exit 9.
The fire, which had been knocked down by Thruway Authority employees, was confined to the rear brakes of a flatbed trailer.
Both departments worked extremely together in exposing the still smoldering fire and extinguishing it with one hoseline.
Hopefully this is just the beginning of a good working relationship between the two departments.
